Description/Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help us make a difference for our customers and employees.  The Area Operations Manager will lead our team of employees in Dekalb, IL.


DSI is accepting applications for an Area Operations Manager to oversee multiple accounts in Dekalb, IL.

This position will be responsible for various duties including hiring, job and safety training, and quality assurance. Responsibilities will also include scheduling staff, approving employee time records and managing a budget including labor and supplies. You will be the front line customer contact for our accounts, therefore strong relationship management skills are required.

Flexibility in working hours is important as this position will require availability during first shift for customer relations, though some of the duties will occur on second shift or even third at times. Occasional weekend work may be required as business dictates.

Required Skills

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are a requirement for this position, and a mileage stipend is part of the compensation package.  Interested candidates should have a high school diploma, some college or equivalent work experience is preferred.  Experience motivating and coaching employees is required. Account Management/Customer Services skills are paramount. Experience providing cleaning services in industrial settings is a plus but not necessary.  Interested candidates must pass a background check, drug screening and physical.


The pay is $40,000 year with a $2,000 increase after 90 days plus quarterly bonus and mileage stipend with full benefits offered including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), STD, LTD and PTO/holiday pay. A company laptop and cell phone will be provided.
